Shiawassee RiverSubmitted by Admin on Fri, 09/18/2009 - 23:31
The Shiawassee River runs through South Central Michigan for roughly 110 miles. The Shiawassee generally flows in a northerly direction from it's headwaters in Oakland County, Michigan until it become the Saginaw River and ends up flowing into the Saginaw Bay. Along the way, the Shiawassee meets up with the Flint River the Cass River and the Tittabawassee River when it turns into the Saginaw. The Shiawassee River has a reputation for good fishing for smallmouth bass, rock bass and northern pike from Byron to Chesaning. The map on the right shows where the Shiawassee flows out of the city of Owosso, Michigan north of Corunna. Location
