The River Raisin is a located in southeastern Michigan that flows on an Easterly to South-Easterly course from it's headwaters West of Manchester, Michigan to Lake Erie. The river was named La Riviere aux Raisin by French settlers because of the wild grapes growing along its banks, since the French word for grape is raisin.
