The Rifle River is a river in Michigan which originates in northeastern Ogemaw county and flows West to East through Arenac County to enter Lake Huron. Once a logging river at the turn of the 20th Century the river is now primarily used for recreation, and is a State Designated Natural Scenic River. The Rifle River is a hugely popular river for canoeing, with no portages or dams and an average depth of 18 to 24 inches which makes for easy paddle depth. Location
