The Menominee River is formed approximately 10 mi North of Iron Mountain, Michigan by the joining of the Brule and Michigamme rivers. The Menominee also is formed by the confluence of the Pemebonwon, Sturgeon(Southwest of Loretto), and Pike rivers before emptying into Green Bay between Menominee, Michigan and Marinette, Wisconsin.
