The Martiny Chain of Lakes is a closely guarded Michigan secret that is being exposed for some of the best flatwater kayaking and canoeing in the state.

The Martiny Chain of Lakes is primarily made up of Pretty Lake, Evans Lake, Lost Lake, Diamond Lake, Tubbs lake, and Boom Lake and spans an incredible surface area of 1600 acres!

With numerous put in and take out spots all the lakes are accessable and there are ample opportunities for recreational kayaking and canoeing not to mention some great fishing. Fishermen have come from all over to hook Bass, Bluegill, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Warmouth, Pumpkinseed, Black Crappie, Bullhead and Dogfish.

There is also a state forest campground called Tubbs Lake which is located on the southeast shore of the Martiny Chain of Lakes.
