The Chattahoochee River runs from the Chattahoochee Spring in the lower Appalachian Mountains of Georgia and runs on a southwesterly course through Atlanta and on to a series of lakes in the southern portion of Georgia where it merges with the Flint River and other tributaries before eventually combining with the Apalachicola River in Florida's Panhandle. The Chattahoochee River is beautify scenic throughout much of it's course and is easily accessible to residents of Atlanta, GA. Location
