The Bear River gets it's beginnings south and west of Lake Spaulding in the Tahoe National Forest and is a tributary of the Feather River in the Sierra Nevada's. On it's course, the Bear River meanders through four California counties and three reservoirs (Rollins Reservoir, Lake Combie, and
Camp Far West Reservoir) before it's confluence with the Feather River south of Yuba City/Marysville.
